What is the gallery’s history?

Founded by Caroline St-Pierre and Olivier Mineau, Galerie d’art Berthelet was born in the context of a global pandemic, but this dream did not stop the couple from opening this new cultural venue featuring a collection of modern and unique works of art.

Located in the heart of downtown Berthierville, the gallery aims to revive the vitality of the Place du Marché.

Olivier and Caroline wish to take part in the development of visual arts in Lanaudière with dynamism and innovation.

Why the name Berthelet?

The word Berthelet comes from the establishment formerly called Le Château Berthelet, a hotel located near the North Channel in Lanaudière.
